Robert Z. Selden Jr.


Selden is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran that is currently focused upon the analysis of macro-level trends within the ancestral Caddo region. He has worked on a variety of archaeological projects throughout Texas ranging from data recovery to pedestrian survey. His research interests include the confluence of archaeology and law, archaeological ethics, the philosophy of archaeology (including archaeological epistemology), prehistoric and historic Caddo material culture, cultural resource management, collections management, the application of geographic information systems (GIS) to archaeological problems, and the incorporation of 3D geometric morphometrics within analyses of ceramic vessels.
