Rishikesh Upadhyay was born to Indian Nepali parents, Pitambar Upadhaya (father) and Nandakala (Bawni) Upadhaya (mother) in Bhanjang Basti, a small Nepalis' hamlet at Haflong, the district headquarter of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao), India.
Dr. Upadhyay writes articles, short stories, research articles, children's, book chapters, nonfiction titles, poems, etc., and has spent the past decade working and teaching in higher educational institutions. His works have been appeared, quoted and cited in several international journals and books.
