Summary

My main interest, as an ecologist and an engineer, is to understand how ecosystems work, and how intensive human land use and environmental change affect biodiversity and associated ecosystem services. The goal of my research is to conserve, manage and restore biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services through applied ecology and engineering while at the same time improving sustainability and resilience of these ecosystems. I am currently investigating public health effects of biodiversity.
