I obtained my BSc in Plant Protection from National School of Agriculture (ENA-Meknes), Morocco, and my MSc and PhD in Agronomy and Biological Sciences with honor Plant Pathology from Gembloux Agro-Bio-Tech, University of Liege (Belgium). I carried out post-doctoral research in the Laboratory of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Saskatoon Research Centre (4 years) as well as in Plant Research Institute, University of Montreal ( 2 years) and Gembloux Agro Bio-Tech, University of Liege (1 year). My main research interests include the study of plant microbe interactions, phytomycology, molecular plant pathology, mechanisms involved in the plant's response to abiotic and biotic stress factors, and the application of synchrotron (X-ray) science for plant improvement. Specialties: Plant Pathology, Molecular Plant Pathology, Fungal diseases, Bacterial diseases, Biocontrol, Plant microbe interactions, Microbiology, Biophysics, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, Mid-IR spectroscopy, Soft and hard X-ray.
