Poonam Yadav
Summary
Dr Poonam Yadav is currently working as Research Associate at ICAR-IIFSR Modipuram under UNEP-TEEBAgriFood project. She has a MPhil-PhD degree in Environmental Science & Technology from Banaras Hindu University. Dr Yadav is working on the effect of arsenic toxicity on plant stress biology. Her work also focuses on phytoremediation technology for bio-remediation of contaminated soil and water systems including remediation techniques against Arsenic (As) toxicity in rice plant in field conditions. Dr Yadav's interest lies in the sustainable way of reducing the rice grain arsenic and exploring sustainable approaches for environmental management and sustainability that can help in achieving the goal of food security with safe and quality food.
