Peter J Etnoyer
I am a benthic ecologist specializing in the taxonomy and ecology of deep-sea corals, particularly deep-water gorgonian octocorals, with applications to marine conservation and management. I am a marine biologist at NOAA since 2010, and lead scientist for NOAA's Deep Coral Ecology Laboratory (DCEL) at National Centers of Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) in Charleston, SC. I am also an adjunct professor at College of Charleston and mentor for graduate students at Grice Marine Laboratory.
