Peter J Etnoyer
I am a benthic ecologist specializing in the taxonomy and ecology of deep-sea corals, especially gorgonian octocorals. Conservation and management are central themes of my research. I serve as the lead scientist for NOAA's Deep Coral Ecology Laboratory (DCEL) at National Centers of Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) in Charleston, SC; and as an adjunct professor at College of Charleston.
