Oliver Fiehn
Summary
I am the Director of the NIH West Coast Metabolomics Center. I have pioneered developments in metabolomics, starting in 1998 as Postdoctoral scholar and from 2000 onwards as Group Leader at the Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam, Germany. Since 2004 I am Professor at the UC Davis Genome Center overseeing a combined number of 25 staff and 15 mass spectrometers. Currently funded projects focus on cancer metabolism, databases, diabetes and drug-response phenotyping.
