I completed my Masters of Science in Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University in 2017, where I completed a thesis on chemical management of Fusarium wilt of watermelon. I also developed microsatellite markers for the Fusarium oxysporum species complex using comparative genomics and bioinformatic tools. I validated these markers and applied them in a population study of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum.
I graduated with my Bachelors of Science from the University of Tulsa in 2014. I worked on an independent project validating airborne allergen predictive models. I have also worked on a cliff swallow banding project as well as a foliar fungal endophyte survey of Eastern Redbud trees.
