Mohammad Golam Mostofa
Summary
Dr. Mohammad Mostofa was a Professor at the Dept. of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He completed his B.Sc and MS in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Dhaka. He received MEXT scholarship for doing his 2nd-Masters and Ph.D. at Ehime University, Japan. After his Ph.D., Dr Mostofa joined as a JSPS Postdoctoral Researcher to RIKEN-CSRS, Japan and worked there for 2 years. Dr Mostofa has published more than 50 research articles and 2 book chapters, and edited a book for Springer. Dr Mostofa's current research citation is over 2200 with an h-index of 28. He has been serving on the editorial board of several journals, e.g. BMC plant Biology, PLOS ONE, and Plant Molecular Biology Reporter. He has organized several special issues in MDPI journals like IJMS, Plants and Crops. Dr Mostofa's research works mainly orient on how Plant Growth Regulators, including phytohormones, regulate plant responses and tolerance to environmental stresses, like salinity, drought, and metal toxicity. As a recognition in plant science, Dr Mostofa has been selected in Stanford University’s lists of 2% scientists (citation impact, 2019). He is a member of several professional bodies, including American Society of Plant Biologists, Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists and International Society for Biosafety Research. Currently, Dr. Mostofa is a Assistant Professor-FT at the MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory, Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Michigan State University, USA.
