Formerly a Senior Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. PhD University of Michigan 1982. My research has focused on understanding the causes of spatial and temporal variation in species diversity, primarily of plants, but also of animals, in terrestrial, aquatic, and marine systems.
