Understanding and documenting the flora of the Cape Floristic Region (South Africa), a global biodiversity hotspot, is my passion and interest. I am a vegetation ecologist and an amateur botanist. Building bridges between academia and conservation is what I pursue in my research and non-academic life.
I am currently a PhD student at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. My research aims to understand how environmental drivers and functional traits determine demographic variation, large-scale population dynamics and ecological niches of serotinous Proteaceae species in the Cape Floristic Region.
