Summary

My primary research field is mammalian epigenetic control. My interests lie in using screens to identify novel epigenetic modifiers or new roles for known epigenetic modifiers, in order that we can expand our understanding of the molecular basis of epigenetic control. We study X chromosome inactivation in differentiating ES cells and early embryos, haematopoietic stem cells, neural stem cells and additionally study the role of the epigenetic modifier Smchd1 in the muscular dystrophy FSHD.
