    Summary

I am currently affiliated with the Department of Food Science at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. My research focus is the development of in vitro tools, such as the CoMiniGut model and the in vitro simulation of gut microbial fermentation processes. My research aims to unravel the relationship of structure and function of prebiotics and other bioactives.
Prior to my current work I have received my Diploma in Biology at the University of Bremen in Germany, with a major in microbiology and minors in biochemistry and neuroscience. Followed by my doctoral studies at UNSW in Sydney, Australia in 2009-2013.
