Ever since I discovered that kinetics and thermodynamics are neither frightening nor boring, I have been fascinated by the fact that simple mechanisms can give rise to very complex dynamic behaviour. For many years, I have studied the workings of biochemical systems by mixing solutions and measuring the effect with spectrophotometers of varying degrees of sophistication, in labs with varying percentages of Bio and Chemistry in their names. I finally decided that it would be altogether less messy if I let others do the nasty wet work. So now I concentrate on e-experiments and on creating software that is necessary to carry out these experiments.
