I'm PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology of the University of Torino, Italy and Rijksuniversiteit of Groningen, The Netherlands, with a joint supervision thesis. I'm member of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing. My work is focused on the study of health trends in ageing with the use of a dynamic systems approach. My main research interest is the analysis of the complex nature of health components and their development during the life course. Specifically, it is fundamental, in my opinion, to match the objective and the subjective components of health with the use of a systemic approach to capture both health status and well-being, central aspects in a growing old world, in order to detect early signs of decline, frailty and to prevent negative health outcomes. These objectives are in accordance with the main goals of the European Commission (Healthy Life Years by 2020 and European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing) and the Department of Health and Social Services of USA (Healthy People 2020).
