Marcy Peteroy-Kelly

I am a biology undergraduate educator at an urban University. I teach Introductory Biology 1 to science majors, Microbiology to biology and pre-health majors, and Research Methods to biology majors. I have two distinct areas of research. My bench research focuses on the mechanisms behind glutathione toxicity in M. bovis-BCG and resistance in persistent BCG. All of the work in my laboratory is carried out by undergraduate students. My second area of research focuses on the development of higher order thinking skills in undergraduate students. For this work, the undergraduate students enrolled in my courses are my research subjects.
