I’m a PhD student in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Dr. Carol Brayne and Dr. Andres Roman-Urrestarazu. By drawing upon epidemiology, econometrics, and comparative policy analysis, I examine various measures of health equity among high income countries to characterize the ways in which the global financial crisis has prompted changes to measures of population health such as substance abuse and unmet need for mental health treatment.
I completed my master’s degree at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University where I focused on health policy, health finance & management, and public health informatics. I graduated with my BA and BSc from the University of British Columbia in my hometown of Vancouver, Canada, where I studied English literature and cell biology & genetics.
