Summary

I and my students conduct research on a variety of topics, spanning community ecology, biodiversity conservation, landscape ecology, biogeography, paleoecology, biological control, and invasive species biology. We combine observational, experimental, and theoretical approaches, and many projects involve the analysis of existing data, mined from the literature or online databases. Most projects make use of geographic information systems, increasingly enabled by the open-source software "R".
