I am a wildlife ecologist at Pacific Southwest Research Station - a USDA Forest Service research laboratory - and the Wildlife Department at Humboldt State University. My research focuses on disentangling mechanisms that influence demography, behavior and life-cycle phenology of wildlife (mostly birds with a strong interest in mammals). I currently conduct research in California, Louisiana (www.braudubon.org/laboLinks to an external site.), central Africa (www.biodiversityinitiative.orgLinks to an external site.), Costa Rica (http://costaricabird.org/aboutLinks to an external site.), as well as lead annual workshops in Brazil (http://ferrazlab.org/workshopsLinks to an external site.).
