Summary

I am a Marine Ecologist interested on understanding impacts of climate variability, particularly El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on population dynamics of marine species. The ENSO cycle triggers several changes in ecosystems (e.g. precipitation patterns in estuaries, temperature in upwelling ecosystems) with dramatic consequences for marine life. This cycle can be regarded as a natural experiment, a unique opportunity to understand how coastal species may respond to climate change
