Maria Cristina Mangano

My research is focused on gaining a quantitative understanding of the effect of disturbance ecology on the biodiversity and functioning of benthic communities. Working from patterns observation to process analysis I’m interested on ecological connectivity across scales in ecosystems under stress. I’ve analysed the ecological effects of trawling disturbance on benthic communities (along gradients of fishing pressure and testing mitigation measures) focusing on biodiversity conservation and EBFM. I'm interested in systematic review (QSR, SR and meta-analysis).
