Judith M Shoemaker
Judith M. Shoemaker, DVM, is an internationally known practitioner and educator in integrative veterinary medicine. She gives in-service training and Continuing Education classes nationally and internationally, and is licensed in multiple states. Dr. Shoemaker’s unique mixed practice utilizes chiropractic, acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, homotoxicology, homeopathy, nutrition, physical therapy, and other modalities. She provides comprehensive maintenance, therapy, and consultation for top animal competitors in the U.S. and abroad, and for many wonderful companions. She has been an instructor for AVCA, IVAS, AHVMA, many state and local VMAs, and lay organizations. The educational and research arm of her practice, Maximum Horsepower, LLC, received a grant from the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation in 2013, to study Postural Rehabilitation. She was recognized as American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association’s Practitioner of the Year in 2011, and inducted in the first class of the Animal Chiropractic Hall of Fame in 2015.
Dr. Shoemaker is a 1980 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia, Athens, GA; and received her B.S. in Animal Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA.
To honor the significance of the human-animal bond in practice, education and research, Dr. Shoemaker seeks information to promote balance and consciousness that allow optimal health for animals and people.
