Joseph M Barnby

Research assistant at UCL working in the field of social cognition and psychosis after completing my post-graduate MSc qualification. I’m interested in the neuropsychology and social cognition of ‘self’ and ‘other’ perception.

My research interests include:

Alterations in self/other perception such as hallucinations or delusions in a clinical setting, but also the meaning of these experiences in a non-clinical environment when they might not be so distressing.

Clinical intervention for psychosis.

Cognitive anthropology of self/other generated perception.

The alteration in self/other perception associated with recreational drug use.
