Summary

Professor Jeferson Luis Franco received his PhD in Neurosciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina State, Brazil in 2009. From 2007 to 2008 he spent a year doing full time research at The University of Newcastle, Australia as a CNPq Fellow (Brazil). He is now appointed to the Federal University of Pampa (Brazil) as a Professor of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Professor Franco is a neurochemist who has focused on antioxidant cell defense systems and metal/pesticide toxicity in neuronal tissues. His most recent research has been on the characterization and validation of alternative animal models for toxicological and environmental studies.
