Homero Reyes-De la Cruz
Summary
Dr. Homero Reyes was born in 1970 in the community of Poturo, municipality of Churumuco, Michoacán, Mexico. He completed his undergraduate and master's degree studies at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) and a PhD at the Faculty of Chemistry of the UNAM. He is currently a Professor and Researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Químico Biológicas of the UMSNH, where he is in charge of the Plant Molecular Biotechnology Laboratory. He has directed and directs Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Theses and has published his research work in prestigious international journals. His research work is based on understanding the molecular mechanisms that control the growth of plants, particularly the signaling pathways that regulate protein synthesis (translational control) and the effect of biomolecules of biotechnological interest on plant growth.
