Summary

I enjoy comparative and integrative research focusing on effects of environmental factors (hypoxia, temperature, salinity, heavy metals, stress hormones...) on the energy metabolism and iono- and osmoregulation of marine and freshwater fish. As we work from whole organism to molecular, techniques vary from basic physiological stuff such as critical swimming speeds, respiration rates and ion and acid-base balance up to transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.
