Gen Zheng


Gen Zheng received a B.S. in Microbiology, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Prof. Boqin Qiang (member of China National Academy of Science), Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China in 2007. From 2008 to 2009 Gen was a post-doctorial fellow in Cell Biology with Dr. Yanzhuang Wang, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Since 2009, Gen has been working in Dr. John W. Wiley's lab in the Department of Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology, University of Michigan. Gen's current research centers on the development of 4D-nucleome imaging methods: Application of 4D-nucelome method in epigenetics of chronic stressed brain gut axis and Dual regulation of tight junction protein level and permeability by GR and HES1 in response to chronic stress.
