Gordon T Taylor
My research has focused on microbial mediation of biogeochemical process (particularly carbon) and trophic interactions among microorganisms. I am especially interested in exchange processes across oxic/anoxic, sediment/water and air/water boundaries. We study processes controlling chemoautotrophic production. We combine traditional microbial ecological measurements with modern molecular techniques to unravel interplay between elemental cycling and microbial population dynamics.
