Summary

I am a researcher in the al-Andalus project that focuses on treatment and follow-up of fibromyalgia syndrome (FM), funding by the Spanish Government. FM is characterized by an increased sensitivity to painful stimuli and lowered pain threshold, hyperalgesia and allodynia respectively. My research focuses on the role that optimism, subjective well-being, emotional reparation, physical fitness, and physical activity play in self-perceived disability, FM symptoms, and health-related quality of life.
