I have degree of Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (1991), master's degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the Federal University of Paraíba (1995), PhD in Biological Oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande (2001) and post-doctorate stage at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) (2006) and at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto (Portugal) (2012). I am currently Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Ceará. I am curator of Malacological Collection "Prof. Henry Ramos Matthews" since 1994. I have experience in autoecology of marine and estuarine molluscs, and recent development studies on reproductive cycle, feeding behavior, embryonic and larval development and population dynamics. I also develop research on the ecology of benthic macroinvertebrates communities from estuarine environment, sandy and rocky beaches and inner continental shelf of Ceará.
