Summary

Craig Speelman completed his BSc(Hons) and PhD in Psychology at the University of Western Australia. His research focuses on the topic of cognitive skill acquisition and transfer. His research has covered the effects of transfer on the shape of learning functions, the relationship between skill acquisition and implicit memory, and the specificity of skill acquisition and transfer. In addition he has been involved with research on the topics of repetition priming and implicit memory, and implicit processes in general. He has applied this expertise to developing a computerised training program for the acquisition of skin cancer detection skills, and a computer game that facilitates the development of basic arithmetic skills.
