Summary
Education: As a graduate from the University of Madras, completed Master of Science in Biochemistry from the Annamalai University in Tamilnadu and returned to University of Madras to do basic research leading to the Doctor of Philosophy for developing novel antibodies to cancer cell membrane markers.
Employment: First employed as a Clinical Biochemist at Sooriya Hospital, Chennai and then took teaching and research as a career at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute (SRMC&RI) in 2001. Later, as recipient of young biomedical scientist from Indian council of Medical Research(ICMR), a prestigious national award, received an international fellowship to work with Prof.Jayakumar and Prof.Geoffrey C Gurtner at Stanford University Medical Center where I was engaged in developing vehicles for drug delivery.
Later after 6 months returned back to SRMC&RI continued my research onto biomarkers unraveling TLR proteins and developing peptides and novel antibodies for delivery. Currently I am teaching, guiding doctoral students and engaged in research and administration.
