Summary

I study the interactions among marine species and the reciprocal feedbacks between microbes, algae and animals to the nitrogen and carbon cycle. Most of my research is centered on the rocky shores of Washington state. My work leverages long-term ecological experiments and observations with microbial genomics, biogeochemistry, and mathematical models.
