Summary

I am a PhD student of the MARES Doctoral Programme, mobilised between the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, Ghent University and Bremen University. My research is focusing on microbial community functioning at hypoxic ecosystems, such as lagoons and oxygen minimum zones. In particular, I am interested in microbes involved in nitrogen and sulfur cycles. My technical skills involve PCR, high-throughput sequencing, RNA Stable Isotope Probing and bioinformatics analyses. My research interests include Microbial Ecology, Marine Biology and Ecology, Marine Biodiversity and Functional Diversity.
