Summary

Professor at the Instituto Clodomiro Picado, University of Costa Rica (ICP-UCR). Member of the Costa Rican National Academy of Sciences and of the International Society on Toxinology, founding Director of the Doctoral Program in Sciences at the UCR (2000-2008), and Coordinator of the Proteomics Lab at the ICP-UCR. His research has focused on snake venoms, particularly on myotoxic phospholipases A2, and on antivenoms.
