Summary

My research focuses on using genomics tools to answer broad evolutionary questions. Using arthropods as focal systems, I investigate the mechanisms that create and maintain biodiversity, including adaptive radiations. Specific interests include venomics, color evolution, co-evolution, taxonomy, biogeography, and phylogenetics. Additionally, I investigate the population genomics of complex traits (e.g., mimicry in millipedes and recurrent stroke in humans) along with conservation genetics and eDNA techniques for conservation.
