I did Masters in biotechnology in 2009, after securing all India rank of 49 in Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (one of the most reputed university of India) and joined Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. After Masters, I qualified various National level fellowships and got selected for PhD program at the National institute of Pathology, New Delhi in 2010. During PhD, I worked on different aspects of leishmaniasis disease including diagnosis, drugs response and vaccine development, as evident by my 9 peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter (with total citations above 100 and h-index 5). Further, I was also awarded for International travel grants to present my research work on “Development of live attenuated vaccine for leishmaniasis” at International platform including, USA and Spain. After completion of PhD in Nov 2017, I have joined the same institute as a Research Associate.
