Summary

Prior to his current position, he has held academic positions in University of Oulu, University of Tampere, SITNEF, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, University of Helsink and most recently in Free University of Bozen Bolzano in Italy. He received his PhD from University of Oulu in 2002 in the area of software processes. His research interests are in software engineering, innovation and startups. He is the recipient of the Nokia Foundation Award in 2007.
