My academic background is in the psychology and neuroscience of human sensory systems and I currently work as a statistical and bibliometric analyst at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway. I obtained my PhD in vision science from the University of Nottingham in 2006 and have worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Bradford School of Optometry & Vision Science in the UK and as a visiting research fellow at Buskerud University College in Kongsberg, Norway. I also worked as a Principal Consultant and Technical Lead in Ergonomics and Human Factors at Lloyd's Register. I have been funded by the Royal Society, the Wellcome Trust, Brain Journal and the Norwegian Research Council. To date, I have published twenty papers in peer-reviewed journals and the scientific press, one book chapter and numerous other conference abstracts, letters and book reviews. I have an h-index of 10 and a g-index of 16 (Google Scholar data). I have acted as a peer-reviewer for Journal of Vision, Vision Research, Vision Sciences Society, the Applied Vision Association and the European Safety and Reliability Association. I have recently been elected to the committee of the Applied Vision Association where I act as a trustee.
