Summary

I have a degree in Biology by the Universidade de São Paulo, in 1993. I also obtained MSc degree and DSc on Sciences, in Zoology, both at Universidade de São Paulo, São Paulo, 1998 and 2003, respectively.
I am Associate Professor at the Universidade de São Paulo, Escola Superior de Agricultura, in Piracicaba, since 2007 and Research Associate at the American Museum of Natural History, in New York.
My research focus on the taxonomy, systematics, evolution and biogeography of small mammals, mainly rodents. I have extensive experience in field survey in all Brazilian Biomes, mainly in Amazon and Atlantic Forest.

I teach vertebrate zoology, applied zoology, mammalogy, history of biological tough, biogeography for undergraduate and graduate students. I also am a curator of a mammal collection. I conduct research on taxonomy, systematics, evolution and biogeography of small mammals, mainly rodents.
