From 2004 to 2007, the CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico) agency sponsored this project. Nowadays, UERJ (State University Rio de Janeiro) provides support to the project with grants for technical support (PROATEC), undergraduate research and trainee. The Brazilian Army (Exército Brasileiro/ Diretoria do Serviço Geográfico) also have sponsored this project by a caoperation to the development of the photogrammetric module of the project SIG-Desktop.
