Celebrating 2015 at PeerJ

by | Dec 23, 2015 | Announcement

As 2015 comes to a close, we take this opportunity to acknowledge the involvement of all of our authors, editors, reviewers and readers. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in PeerJ this year.

Among many highlights, this was a year which saw the return of Brontosaurus as a valid name; definitive proof that there are more than 266,000 ways to tie a neck-tie; and a comprehensive overview of the largest sizes which marine megafauna can reach. It also saw us publish our first article to exceed 100,000 views as well as the launch ofour new journal “PeerJ Computer Science“.

We are proud to have now published over 8,000 authors in over 3,100 articles (both peer-reviewed and preprints, spanning all of biology, health sciences and computer sciences). Our holiday video this year, includes images submitted by many of our recent authors – see if you can spot your favorite author (and make sure you watch to the end!).

Please join us as we celebrate the end of 2015. We look forward to the start of the new year by continuing to publish outstanding science, openly available to all!
