Zohaib Khurshid
Summary
Currently serving as lecturer and course coordinator at the Department of Prosthodontics and Dental Implantology, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, Dr Khurshid did his Bachelor's in dentistry from Fatima Jinnah Dental College (FJDC), Pakistan. He commenced his career as a lecturer at FJDC, publishing international research papers and book chapters. He then pursued his Master by Research (MRes) in Biomaterials from the University of Birmingham (UoB), UK. He holds the distinction of being the first Pakistani dental researcher to explore human salivary proteomics, gingival crevicular proteomics, and platelet-rich proteins (PRPs) proteomics. His diverse research interests include dental biomaterials, oral antimicrobial peptides synthesis, salivary proteome, gingival crevicular fluids (GCFs) proteome, platelets-rich proteins (PRPs) proteomes, and dental biomaterials proteomic analysis.
Since 2013, Dr Khurshid has amassed 150 peer-reviewed publications in dental biomaterials, tissue engineering, and clinical dentistry. Moreover, he recently attained the #7 rank for citations at King Faisal University, according to AD Scientific Index 2021.
